Maternal & Child Health is an initiative created by the Public Health Department of the City of Brownsville. Its goal is to improve the health of women, infants, and children throughout the City of Brownsville. Programs are targeted toward improving overall health and wellness, beginning with pregnancy and extending beyond childhood.

I wanted to represent this brand in a very humane way, and for this, I focussed on three aspects of nature to illustrate the goal of this brand. The logo is composed of a blooming lotus flower to represent birth and enlightenment, a heart to express motherly love, and the shape of a mother and a child tying it all together. The logo is bright and gentle, incorporating pastel tones that work in tandem to represent the goals of the Public Health Department.
