Northeast India spans eight states with breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural diversity and remote terrain. But travellers — especially solo and women travellers — face serious challenges: unpredictable safety conditions, limited emergency infrastructure, no single source of trusted local guidance, and poor coordination between civilians and authorities during crises.
