Overview

Over five days, I designed an end-to-end operational system for a digital business project — blending project management, team management, and systems automation.
The challenge centered on launching a blog project with multiple team members (a DBM, an influencer, and a writer). I built the full project workflow inside ClickUp — from task structure to timeline and ownership — then designed a hiring process for the content writer and implemented an automation to connect ClickUp with Gmail for real-time application alerts.

Project Components

1. Project Management

Brainstormed and organized 46 detailed project tasks from idea → launch.
Grouped tasks into clear categories (strategy, hiring, content development, publishing, launch, analytics).
Built the workflow in ClickUp using a Gantt chart view.
Assigned owners (DBM, Influencer, Writer) and realistic due dates.
Ensured the plan accounted for holidays and dependencies.

2. Team Management

Created a detailed application form in ClickUp to hire a content writer.
Focused on assessing soft skills, cultural fit, and communication style, rather than just technical ability.
Designed the form to capture writing samples, values alignment, and work style.
Mapped an internal approval process within ClickUp for reviewing candidates.

3. Systems Management & Automation

Created a Zapier automation connecting Clickup → Gmail
Each time a writer application was submitted, an automated email alert was sent to the DBM’s inbox.
This removed the need for manual checks, improved response time, and ensured no applicant was missed.
Created documentation for setup, testing, and troubleshooting the automation.
