TL:DR — I redesigned Supertails to go from a transactional pet care platform to a habit-forming, guilt-reducing pet parenting assistant. This brought loyalty, viral loops, and a stronger market position.

The User

The demographics have shifted to ages 20–30 in recent years, now ~10% of the dog owners are feeding packaged food, as Varun Sadhna said. However, the same group is the busiest one with jobs, dates, friends, side hustles, etc. (Source: Varun Sadana Interview)
“Learn to take care of yourself before you get a pet.” That’s what most of their parents say when we want to adopt.

Here’s an opportunity

There is a emotional guilt in pet parents about “doing enough” for their pets and uncertainty about best practices in pet care.

Rather than simply selling products, what if Supertails could become comprehensive pet care app, help users anticipate, celebrate, and care…
