Overview

The goal of this project was to transform a high-fidelity Figma design into a professional, SEO-optimized website for Restorenow, a specialized exterior cleaning service. The focus was on building a high-trust platform featuring interactive "before and after" showcases, a complex mega-menu, and a regionalized URL structure to target both Northern Ireland and Ireland markets.

My Role & Responsibilities

As the solo developer, I handled the end-to-end technical execution within Webstudio. My responsibilities included:
Front-End Development: Translating complex Figma layouts into a responsive, high-performance Webstudio site.
CMS Implementation: Integrating Zenblog as an external CMS to handle blog posts and SEO sitemaps.
Interactive Features: Developing a custom "Before/After" image comparison slider and a multi-category mega-menu.
Third-Party Integrations: Implementing WhatsApp Business communication buttons and Elfsight review widgets for social proof.
SEO Architecture: Managing a specialized URL structure (/ni/ and /ie/ sub-directories) and metadata for regional targeting.

Process

1 - Architecture & Planning:

The project began with a strategic discussion regarding the site's scalability. We decided on a regional sub-directory approach (/ni/ and /ie/) to help the client rank in different geographic markets. I audited the Figma files to ensure all iconography and "Beyond Cleaning" service sections were logically mapped for the development phase.

2 -Structural Build & Mega-Menu Logic:

I prioritized the complex navigation system, building a custom mega-menu that categorized services into Residential, Heritage, and Commercial sectors. This involved creating a balanced UX that remained functional and clean on mobile viewports while housing dozens of potential service links.

3 - Interactive Elements & Trust Building:

To meet the client’s need for "visual proof," I developed an interactive before/after image comparison tool. I also researched and implemented the most performant review widget (Elfsight) to pull live Google Business and Facebook reviews, ensuring the site felt active and credible from day one.

4 - Scope Adaptation & SEO Pivot:

Mid-project, we pivoted the site structure based on new SEO advice. I restructured the root domain to host a new "Gateway" homepage and moved the primary content into regional folders. I bundled these technical changes, including duplicating content for the Ireland (/ie/) directory, into an agile sprint to keep the project on schedule.

5 - Polishing & Technical Handover:

The final phase involved GSAP scroll-triggered animations for "life and flair," mobile responsiveness checks, and a detailed final walkthrough call.
