QT Studios Instagram Strategy & Campaign Highlights

With QT Studios, I developed and implemented a comprehensive Instagram strategy to build engagement, align with our brand, and support local artists. Through consistent brand messaging and a data-driven approach, I helped grow our online presence and connect with our audience authentically. This page highlights my overall Instagram management and two successful campaigns with measurable results.

General Instagram Strategy Overview

Building a Compelling Instagram Presence

Created a consistent brand identity through curated visuals, authentic captions, and hashtag strategies tailored to a creative audience.
Increased Instagram followers by 200 organically, driving engagement through community-focused posts, artist spotlights, and studio updates.
Leveraged insights to guide content creation, focusing on high-performing formats like Reels and carousel posts.

Campaign 1 – Patreon and Studio Expansion

Carousel Campaign: Building Community Through Patreon and Studio Recruitment
Objective: Introduce the QT Studios mission to a wider audience, grow Patreon memberships to support operations, and recruit new studiomates in alignment with QT Studios’ values of accessibility and community for queer/trans/BIPOC artists.
Execution:
Directed the creative strategy for a 3-slide carousel post, collaborating with a graphic designer to ensure the visuals aligned with QT Studios’ edgy, radical, and inclusive brand identity.
Developed slide content that:
Highlighted Patreon membership tiers and perks (e.g., stickers, prints, QT news updates).
Shared QT Studios’ mission and role as a music and video hub for queer/trans/BIPOC artists in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco.
Invited prospective studiomates to join with transparent pricing ($100 for solo artists, $400 for bands).
Incorporated vibrant design elements, including the QT Studios cherub mascot, stylized typography inspired by the website, and the studio’s signature pink, black, and white color palette.
Results:
The campaign reached 13,977 people and generated 33,913 impressions through targeted ad placement.
Drove 192 website visits and 17 external link taps, with 171 profile visits during the campaign period.
Reached a diverse audience aged 18-34, making up over 90% of engagement, and effectively balanced gender representation.
Achieved key outcomes for QT Studios, including:
Securing 4 new studiomates.
Scheduling 7 studio tours within 2–3 weeks post-campaign.
Why It Matters: This campaign successfully amplified QT Studios’ mission of fostering an accessible, radical music and video hub for queer, trans, and BIPOC artists. By leveraging a visually engaging carousel post and targeted ad strategy, we not only expanded awareness of QT Studios but also converted digital engagement into tangible outcomes—new studiomates, scheduled tours, and increased website traffic. This demonstrates the power of combining impactful storytelling with strategic digital marketing to support marginalized communities and drive meaningful action.

Campaign 2 – Studio Tour Reel

Objective: Showcase QT Studios as a vibrant, inclusive space for artists while driving interest in studio tours and bookings.
Execution:
Directed a behind-the-scenes studio tour featuring high-energy visuals and engaging copy to emphasize QT Studios’ community-driven mission.
Utilized paid ad credits to target key demographics, including local QTBIPOC artists and allies.
Integrated clear calls-to-action (e.g., "Book a tour today!") to generate actionable leads.
Results:
This campaign delivered significant outcomes organically, demonstrating the effectiveness of strategic content creation in reaching and engaging new audiences:
3,309 accounts reached, with 96.4% non-followers
4,883 total plays, including 1,095 replays
4 hours and 22 minutes of total watch time
Engagement: 51 likes, 13 comments, 9 saves, and 49 shares
Contributed to 8 new followers and boosted profile activity
This organic success highlights the potential of well-crafted visual storytelling to connect with new and existing audiences alike.
Why It Matters This campaign demonstrates the power of organic content to engage a broad audience and amplify QT Studios' values of community and collaboration. By leveraging storytelling and showcasing the creative process behind an artist's journey, the reel effectively resonated with a non-following audience, achieving 96.4% reach beyond existing followers. The strong engagement, including 49 shares and 13 comments, highlights its ability to foster meaningful conversations and attract new connections to QT Studios. This campaign emphasizes the importance of relatable, value-driven content in growing and sustaining community engagement.
