Redesigning Solar Purchase from a 3-Day Manual Journey to a 24-Hour Commerce Experience
SunFi is a solar financing platform that helps customers access solar systems through flexible payment plans.
I led the product design for its e-commerce initiative, helping transform a largely manual purchase journey into a digital commerce experience.
The goal was simple: make it significantly easier for customers to discover, evaluate and purchase solar systems while creating a scalable foundation for SunFi's growing business.
Buying solar was too complicated.
Customers had to move through a fragmented process involving manual conversations, qualification and system configuration before they could get to a purchase.
The experience created unnecessary friction for customers and limited how efficiently SunFi could scale its commerce operation.
I owned the UX across the e-commerce initiative, working across research, information architecture, user flows, interaction design, UI and product delivery.
From manual solar purchasing to a scalable commerce experience.
Within six months, the e-commerce initiative was generating approximately $80K in monthly revenue.
