What did they want?
They messaged me after I sent over my first sample to them on YT Jobs. Long story short they wanted me to deliver a second sample that's about 1-3mins long whiles following their script.
Creating the video
I just focused on following their script at first and assured that I did everything they wanted first. They provided footage to use and audio. After that was done I added in my magic.
First was to spice up the into with transitions of all kinds. What ever suited the video and would be engaging. I also added in sound effects to go with the transitions as they are half of the viewing experience. I added in titles to add focus to the main points of the narration.
This timeline shows where I added in the transitions in the intro
Next was to add motion graphics to the story. These were to simply provide visuals to back up whatever the narrator says and to keep viewer retention. I also placed subtitles when the video switched to the cop can. Then to set the mood I placed music in the video, changing it when the topic changed.
This is the fusion page on davinci resolve where I create all my motion graphics
What difficulties did I face?
I would like to mention simple road blocks, such as lack of creativity at times. but these are expected and simply over come by taking a break. Other than my laptop that can barely run any editing software, not much issues arose.
Here's the finished sample
If this is something you would like, let me know by messaging me here on Contra.
