WordPress website migration

I led the infrastructure migration of a WordPress website from an over-provisioned AWS environment to a lean VPS setup on Hostinger, with a primary focus on drastic cost reduction while preserving reliability and ensuring zero downtime during the transition.
The solution was structured as follows:
WordPress application migrated to a Hostinger VPS, right-sized to match the actual traffic and performance requirements of the platform, eliminating unnecessary overhead from the previous cloud setup.
Zero-downtime migration strategy executed through careful DNS cutover planning, database synchronization, and environment parity validation prior to switching production traffic.
Cost optimization as the primary driver, reducing monthly infrastructure spend by up to 95% by replacing a superdimensioned AWS stack — previously relying on services such as EC2, RDS, and CloudFront — with a straightforward, purpose-fit VPS deployment.
Simplified operational model designed for easy maintenance, reducing dependency on cloud-native tooling and lowering the barrier for routine administration tasks.
The result was a leaner, more cost-efficient hosting architecture that preserved the platform's performance and availability, demonstrating that not every workload demands cloud-scale infrastructure, and that right-sizing can deliver significant savings without compromising the user experience.
