CT Wound Care is a medical clinic specializing in chronic, diabetic and post-surgical wound treatment in Connecticut, USA.
The clinic reached out after noticing a steady decline in organic traffic and a lack of ranking growth in Google.
The website looked modern on the surface — but Google was unable to properly index and interpret the content, which prevented further visibility.
Problem
The initial SEO audit revealed several critical issues that were holding back rankings and organic growth:

Some key pages were blocked from indexing
No valid robots.txt + sitemap.xml structure
Duplicate Title and Meta Description tags across main pages
Broken heading hierarchy (multiple H1s, missing H2–H3 levels)
Images had no ALT-tags and were not size-optimized
SEO plugin was installed but not configured — metadata was added manually and inconsistently

In short: for users the site looked fine, but for Google it had no semantic structure and was difficult to crawl.
solution
We performed a technical SEO audit and manual optimization — without redesigning or changing the site’s visual layout.
Enabled full indexing, updated robots.txt and generated a proper sitemap.xml
Rewrote all Title / Meta Description tags based on keyword intent
Fixed heading structure to a correct SEO hierarchy (H1 → H3)
Optimized images and added ALT-tags to high-priority visuals
Cleaned up URL slugs and added canonical tags
Delivered a keyword list + content roadmap for long-term growth
results
3 week after
3 weeks after implementation:
Google successfully re-crawled the site with zero indexing errors
Indexing speed increased by 2×
The main local keyword “wound care Connecticut” moved from #21 → #9
Organic traffic increased by +28% — without ads and without backlink campaigns
Most importantly: the site is now fully crawlable, structured, and ready for ongoing SEO scaling.
