ProductionCrate is the webs #1 archive of production-ready assets serving 400,000+ happy producers around the globe. Whether it's music, graphics or visual effects, ProductionCrate can cover it all with ease.

Challenge

Client provided a short brief of the features that should be present in the app that wasn't very detailed, so I had to do my own research and think out of the box. In order to build a clear-cut flow that will include all features, I researched their biggest competitors and outlined their main USPs.

In order to prioritise features requested by the client I started creating the main flows and came up with all two core functions the user is after: downloading and recording visual assets.

Process

I started by analysing the project features and identifying potential obstacles. With market research, I created user flows, identified pain points, and designed wireframes and a core design concept for simplicity, usability, and modern aesthetics.

Explore the vast library of assets

Your downloaded assets are saved in your album, and you can continue exploring while downloading. You'll receive a notification when your download is complete. I've made navigation simple for users due to their large archive.

Organise your virtual album

Recorded videos and downloaded effects are stored in your virtual album for easy access. You can explore your collection, download, remove or share them with friends. All recorded videos are automatically saved and can be sorted by categories or searched for specific ones.

Record and customise your videos

Use your camera to record and customise videos effortlessly. Select assets from the library and apply filters for a unique look. Record your video and the finished product is automatically saved in your album, ready for sharing. Create professional-looking videos easily with ProductionCrate's camera feature.

Results

The app design project for ProductionCrate was a success, as it met all project goals and exceeded client's expectations.

As a new additional to the already well known Production Crate web library, app became popular very quickly, as it allowed users to quickly record videos through an intuitive and easy to use app.
