Created an automation to "clean" data in a standardized text report and apply logic to determine tax depreciation methods and lives based on the report. The automation created an output in Excel with clean data that was ready to be shared with the end user and uploaded to a tax depreciation software to calculate depreciation.
The automation was estimated to have saved approximately 40-50 hours per quarter, which saved the project over $15,000 each year. The automation also cut down the project timeline, which increased the end user satisfaction.
