Sourdough has a reputation for being difficult, and this kit asks customers to start a slow, unfamiliar process before they can enjoy the result. The packaging had to create immediate appetite while giving buyers confidence that professional-quality bread was achievable at home.

I built the front panel around an original illustration of a finished loaf, using it as both the reward and the clearest explanation of the product. Oversized typography makes the kit instantly identifiable, while the repeating tool pattern on the side panels links it to the equipment inside and to FarmSteady’s broader packaging family. The result turns a technical baking project into something tactile and giftable, selling the pleasure of the finished loaf while making the first step feel manageable.
