A Study in Analog Design

This was my first cover I designed that was done almost fully analog. I used a lighter, knife, printer, scanner, and pens to achieve this effect.



My favorite part of this process is the story behind the song and the symbolism of the cover. Choke is inspired by Averi's experience with a homophobic Christian woman trying to shove her belief down her throat. Because I have a cross tattoo on my arm, I wanted to appear to choke Averi to hint to the meaning of the song. I creative directed the photoshoot for these pictures and made sure to include some candid shots of her screaming and moving her head around to convey the emotions of the song.
