WeAreNashville Headless Architecture Site

We built WeAreNashville as a visually rich, media‑heavy platform to tell authentic stories of Nashville residents. The challenge was to deliver a site that could handle frequent content updates while offering blazing fast page loads and preserving image quality.

To achieve this, we implemented a headless architecture—using WordPress as the CMS for easy content management, seamlessly integrated with a Next.js frontend for speed and flexibility. Hosted on AWS EC2, the setup ensured reliability, scalability, and top‑tier performance.

We connected WordPress and Next.js through GraphQL APIs, enabling dynamic content delivery with enhanced user experience. To elevate the design, we added Framer Motion animations for smooth page transitions and engaging interactions.

The result is a high‑performance, visually stunning site that allows the client to tell an evolving story of Nashville with ease—combining modern technology, creative design, and a seamless editing workflow.
