I created the visual effects in Runway for an Under Armour commercial by an agency I really admire: The Choice! This project is all about the process and how I made it.

First, I had a clear reference in mind for how I wanted it to look. I imagined blue techno effects surrounding the athlete to show speed, because that's what the commercial is about: how fast can you get? The color choice was also based on the model's skin tone. Blue suited him really well and accentuated his features

Next, it was time to choose the right tool. My go-to at the time was Runway (this was before Higgsfield became my favorite!). I started by selecting the frames I wanted to recreate with the effect. Here's what my timeline, and plenty of attempts, looked like in Runway.

Finally, I edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro. I placed the original commercial on the timeline, then added overlays and burn effects using the other takes I generated. Here's the result! Tell me what you think!
