Harsh Exfoliants: Hard Pass….

In recent years, the once popular beauty brand, St. Ives has become a laughing stock in the beauty community. St. Ives has encountered multiple lawsuits over the years, the majority circulating around their “Apricot Scrub.” This scrub was found to create micro-tears in the skin and do more damage than good.

This product has gotten so much negative feedback, yet they have not stopped making this product, in fact, Kylie Skin has an almost identically formulated “walnut scrub.” This product faced a lot of backlash for the same reasons.

My advice? Trash the scrubs and opt for a different, less harsh exfoliant such as a chemical peel.
