Kajabi Kids Learning Platform & Online Course Website

Project Overview

This project involved designing a colorful, engaging Kajabi website for a children's online learning platform, created to make early education more enjoyable, accessible, and parent-friendly.
The goal was to create a digital experience that communicates the value of playful learning while helping parents quickly understand the available programs, age groups, educators, and learning approach.
The website combines playful visual design, clear course organization, parent-focused messaging, educator profiles, and a structured learning journey to create an engaging experience for both children and their parents.

What the Client Wanted

The client wanted an online learning website that would feel fun, safe, educational, and trustworthy rather than looking like a traditional school website.
The main objectives were to:
Create a playful and memorable online presence
Showcase online learning programs for children
Organize courses according to age groups
Make it easy for parents to find the right program
Explain the platform's learning approach
Introduce educators and teachers
Build trust with parents
Highlight the benefits of playful learning
Encourage parents to explore available programs
Create a clear path toward enrollment
Make the website responsive across devices
Provide a foundation for future courses and learning content
The overall goal was to make the experience feel like learning through play, not another conventional online classroom.

The Challenge

Designing an educational website for young children involves two very different audiences:
The child needs excitement and engagement.
The parent needs clarity, trust, and reassurance.
A website that is too childish may not give parents enough confidence, while a website that feels too corporate or academic may fail to capture the fun and creativity that makes the learning experience appealing.
The challenge was therefore to create a balance between:
Playfulness + Education + Parent Trust + Easy Navigation
The platform also needed to present different age groups without making the website feel complicated.

The Solution

I designed the experience around a simple parent journey:
Discover → Choose Age Group → Explore Learning → Meet Educators → Understand the Benefits → Enroll
The visual language makes the learning experience feel approachable from the first interaction while the information architecture keeps the experience clear for parents.

Homepage Strategy

The homepage opens with the message:
FUN START HERE
This immediately communicates the platform's core philosophy.
Rather than leading with a complicated explanation of the curriculum, the hero introduces the concept of learning through play.
The age-based program structure is then presented prominently:

Age 1–3

Programs designed around early development and foundational learning.

Age 2–3

Activities and lessons tailored to children's growing abilities.

Age 4–6

More advanced playful learning experiences designed for developing children.
This allows parents to immediately identify the most relevant starting point.

Age-Based Course Architecture

One of the most important UX decisions was organizing the learning experience around age groups.
Instead of making parents search through a large course catalog, the website provides an intuitive starting point:
Child's Age → Relevant Program → Course Information → Enrollment
This reduces decision fatigue and makes the platform easier to navigate.
It also creates a scalable structure for adding additional programs later.

Learning Through Play

The website communicates the philosophy behind the platform through sections such as:
Learning Feels Like Play
The visual design uses:
Bright but soft colors
Playful shapes
Rounded imagery
Friendly typography
Child-focused photography
Organic graphic elements
Simple illustrations
This reinforces the idea that education can be engaging and enjoyable.

Educator Profiles

Trust is especially important when parents are choosing an educational platform for their children.
The website therefore includes a dedicated Educators section where parents can learn more about the people responsible for delivering the learning experience.
Each educator profile provides a more human connection to the platform and helps parents understand who their children will be learning from.
This supports the journey:
Discover Program → Meet Educators → Build Confidence → Enroll

Parent-Focused Trust

While the design is playful, the website still needed to communicate credibility to parents.
Trust-building elements were incorporated through:
Educator profiles
Parent/student statistics
Testimonials or social proof
Learning philosophy
Clear program structure
Professional photography
Benefits-focused content
The design intentionally speaks to the parent's concerns while keeping the overall experience friendly and approachable.

Kajabi Course Structure

The website was designed with Kajabi's online course environment in mind.
The learning ecosystem can be structured around:

Course Catalog

Age-based programs organized into clear learning paths.

Course Pages

Individual program pages explaining what children will learn and what parents can expect.

Lesson Delivery

Courses can be divided into structured lessons, modules, activities, and resources.

Student Access

Parents/students can access purchased learning content through the Kajabi membership/course environment.

Progression

The structure allows learners to move from one age-appropriate program to another as they develop.

Enrollment Funnel

The website was designed to support a simple enrollment journey:
Homepage
Select Age Group
Explore Program
Understand Learning Benefits
Review Course Details
Enroll
Access Course
This minimizes unnecessary steps between discovering a program and becoming a student.

Lead Generation Funnel

For parents who aren't ready to enroll immediately, the Kajabi ecosystem can also support a lead-generation journey.
For example:
Website Visit
Free Learning Resource / Parent Guide
Email Capture
Welcome Email
Educational Content
Program Recommendation
Course Enrollment
This gives the business a way to nurture interested parents rather than losing visitors who aren't ready to purchase on their first visit.

Email & Automation Strategy

The Kajabi setup can support automated communication around the parent/student journey.
Potential automations include:
New lead welcome sequence
Course enrollment confirmation
New student onboarding
Lesson reminders
Parent education emails
Course completion messages
Next-program recommendations
Re-engagement campaigns
New course announcements
This creates a more connected experience between the website, course platform, and communication system.

Visual Design Direction

The design direction was built around a playful, warm, modern educational brand.
The visual system combines:
Soft pink
Warm peach
Cream backgrounds
Dark plum/brown typography
Organic shapes
Rounded image masks
Playful decorative elements
Friendly typography
Child-focused photography
The colors and shapes make the website feel energetic without becoming visually overwhelming.

Responsive Design

The experience was designed for:
Desktop → Tablet → Mobile
This is especially important because parents may discover and manage their children's learning programs from smartphones.
The responsive experience focuses on:
Age-group navigation
Course cards
Educator profiles
CTAs
Typography
Images
Course information
Mobile-friendly navigation

Project Process

01 — Discovery

I identified the platform's educational goals, target audience, age groups, course structure, and enrollment objectives.

02 — Information Architecture

The learning programs were organized around age groups to make course discovery intuitive for parents.

03 — User Journey

I mapped the experience from discovering the platform to selecting a program and enrolling.

04 — Visual Direction

I created a playful visual system that appeals to children while maintaining the trust and clarity parents expect.

05 — Kajabi Structure

The website and course ecosystem were structured around Kajabi's website, course, membership, funnel, and automation capabilities.

06 — Conversion Strategy

Enrollment and lead-generation pathways were incorporated throughout the experience.

07 — Responsive Optimization

The layouts were adapted for desktop, tablet, and mobile users.

08 — Final Refinement

The complete experience was reviewed to ensure the website remained engaging, intuitive, and parent-friendly.

The Result

The final website creates a playful digital learning experience backed by a clear parent-focused journey.
Instead of presenting children and parents with a complicated online course catalog, the platform makes the first step simple:
Find the child's age → Discover the right learning experience → Meet the educators → Understand the benefits → Enroll
The result is a Kajabi course website that brings together education, play, trust, and conversion in one cohesive experience.
