Bible Verse Display App (Real-Time Church Projection Tool)
Overview
This project explores the design of a real-time Bible verse display tool used during church services. The product listens to a pastor’s sermon and instantly projects any referenced scripture onto large screens for the congregation.
The goal was to create a distraction-free, highly readable interface that communicates content clearly within seconds, even from a distance.
Problem
Church projection systems are often cluttered, slow, or visually inconsistent, making it difficult for congregations to quickly read and follow along during sermons.
The challenge was to:
Ensure instant readability from large screens
Maintain a calm, spiritual aesthetic without clutter
Handle real-time updates smoothly without breaking focus

Approach
I focused on clarity, hierarchy, and minimalism, treating the interface like a live presentation slide rather than a traditional app UI.
Key design principles:
Design for distance first (TV/projector visibility)
Reduce cognitive load (understand in <2 seconds)
Prioritize content over controls

1. Main Display Experience
Full-screen 16:9 layout optimized for projection
Dark background (charcoal/deep navy) to reduce eye strain
Centered content for immediate focus
Hierarchy:
Bible reference: smaller, spaced, subtle
Verse text: large, dominant, multi-line, high contrast
2. Minimal Control System
Subtle top bar with low visual weight
Includes:
Microphone toggle (Off / Listening)
Translation selector (KJV, NIV, ESV)
Clear screen action
Designed to be present but invisible during active use.
