๐Ÿงณ Travel Book โ€“ Bridging Travelers and Local Vendors Through a Two-Way Marketplace

Project Overview
Travel Book is a two-sided marketplace app designed to connect travelers with local vendors in real time. I led the UX design process across both user types โ€” customers and vendors โ€” including research, journey mapping, UI design, and prototyping.
The Problem
Travelers struggled to discover authentic local products and services during trips. Meanwhile, small vendors lacked a platform to showcase their offerings and engage directly with potential customers. Both user groups needed a streamlined and trustworthy way to interact.
The Design Process
๐Ÿ” Research Conducted user surveys to gather insights into traveler preferences and vendor challenges across different cities.
๐Ÿงญ Define Synthesized findings into personas, journey maps, and a clear problem statement for each user group.
๐Ÿ’ก Ideate Brainstormed potential features, sketched early concepts, and mapped out the dual user flow for customers and vendors.
๐ŸŽจ Design Created wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma for both user experiences with a focus on usability and clarity.
๐Ÿงช Prototype Built interactive prototypes and tested flows to validate interactions, receiving feedback for refinement.
The Solution I designed a dual-interface experience that empowers both sides:
Customers can explore local shops, view ratings, favorite products, and chat directly with vendors
Vendors can add products, track revenue, and engage with customer inquiries
Features include map-based discovery, personalized recommendations, and a clean, easy-to-navigate UI
