Legit Group is a multi-brand cloud kitchen designer and operator. By better understanding customer perception and implementing technology, it aims to maximize utilization of kitchen resources, control food costs through better predictive modeling of customer demand, and increase food deliveries more scientifically.

As a UI designer from the design team, I was given the responsibility to participate in the Outlet Team, which is focused on supporting all operational needs of each Legit Group outlet branch in terms of digitizing process systems, increasing efficiency starting from the preparation process, cooking, cashiering to issues related to increasing customer satisfaction. The goal of digitizing all these processes is to increase the scalability of the business model.

From each process, there are several products that become the main platform for the workers at the outlet to support their needs. At the outlet, there is a digital ecosystem that covers the continuity of the process starting from receiving orders from various aggregators such as Grab Food, GoFood and ShopeeFood through Middleware supported by the Point of Sales (POS) system, Cooking supported by the Kitchen Display System (KDS) for the cooks to efficiently know what orders need to be cooked along with the collaboration with the cashier who ensures that the order details and what the cook is cooking match through the Checker Display System (CDS), then the delivery drivers can monitor the cooking process through the Queue Display System (QDS). From all these products, there are workers who set all the menus and stocks through the Outlet Management System (OMS) platform, which is integrated with the digital ecosystem in each outlet.

As the name suggests, Middleware basically acts as an intermediary between the aggregator and the rest of the platform ecosystem. One of its functions is to collect all orders from different aggregators, organize promotions and menu availability, and even manage employee schedules and exchanges between outlets.

From every order received in Middleware, everything will be channeled to POS and then the order is processed, orders can also be directly inputted through POS, there are two versions for this platform, POS for desktop and POS lite for mobile. During its development, POS Lite was tested at various events such as Indonesia Open and We The Fest as a cashier tool for the Legit Group brand that opened there. From each event, there were many feedbacks and cases that improved the usability and efficiency of the platform.

QDS (Queue Display System), which displays the process to the delivery drivers so they can track and estimate how long the order will be ready for delivery. Then the CDS (Checker Display System) will serve as a platform to manage the flow of the KDS and QDS, marking that the food is ready and finalizing the order when it is picked up by the delivery driver.

Managed to make the entire digital process more efficient, from the upstream to the downstream.

Help to establish a more comprehensive and objective means of collecting data, which will be used to evaluate both the system and its human resources in a holistic manner.

Support the system expansion process, in this case by increasing its digital scalability to consolidate the overall flow structure, along the way we have sought to create a design environment that is more adaptable to rapid change.

Support the successful participation of Legit Group brands in various events as one of the main food and beverage providers for consumers by making the transaction flow more efficient and hassle-free.

A holistic and detailed view of the product will allow us to see the big picture in order to optimize the product to its highest potential.

Fast-paced nature of the corporate culture demands adaptability to efficiently complete tasks, mitigate sudden changes, and deliver optimal results.

Various teams that are closely or distantly related to my team have important information and require me to be able to communicate effectively in order to get the right information and not get out of their respective contexts.

The various shortcomings and interests that each team had, I had the opportunity to make decisions to provide a middle ground that could adapt to these conditions, because my role in the timeline was the final determination of the product requirements agreement.
