Sanctum | Framer Template Design & CMS Architecture for Wellness

Overview

Sanctum is a premium Framer template designed for wellness businesses — retreat centres, somatic therapists, yoga studios, and holistic practitioners. The project began as a market observation: the wellness industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors online, yet the Framer marketplace had no template that matched the editorial depth and considered design these businesses actually need.
Most available options were either free and basic, or visually polished but architecturally shallow. Sanctum was built to fill that gap — a production-ready template with real CMS architecture, real content, and a design system that could be rebranded in minutes.

Challenges

The primary challenge was building a template that felt genuinely bespoke while remaining fully customisable. Wellness brands are visually sensitive — they respond to typography, whitespace, and tone in a way that most business categories don't. Every design decision had to feel considered rather than templated, even though the product itself is a template.
The second challenge was CMS architecture. Most Framer templates treat CMS as an afterthought — a single collection with basic fields. Sanctum required a relational structure: retreat detail pages with dynamic itineraries, practitioner profiles linked to their retreats, and conditional fields that adapt to different retreat lengths. Building this cleanly inside Framer's CMS constraints required careful planning before a single page was designed.
The third challenge was content. Shipping a template full of lorem ipsum actively harms the buyer experience — it makes the design harder to evaluate and the setup harder to begin. Writing real editorial copy for three retreats, three practitioners, a full services section, legal pages, and all image alt text added significant time but produced a meaningfully better product.

Goals

Design a template that stands apart visually from anything currently in the Framer wellness category
Build a robust CMS structure that handles the real complexity of a retreat or wellness business
Ship with real content, real copy, and real alt text — nothing placeholder
Price at the top of the market and justify it through depth of feature and quality of execution
Create a product that works equally well for business owners customising it themselves and for designers purchasing it for client projects

Outcome

Sanctum launched on the Framer marketplace and Contra at $99 — a higher price point in the wellness template category. The template includes 10+ pages, 4 CMS collections with relational structure, pre-filled sample content across all collections, a preloader, custom scroll bar, full mobile responsiveness across three breakpoints, an in-file style guide, and clean layer naming throughout. The marketplace research at launch confirmed Sanctum as the only premium wellness template with this level of CMS depth.

Who it's for

Sanctum is for two audiences. The first is wellness business owners — retreat leaders, somatic therapists, yoga studios, and holistic health practitioners — who want a professional website without commissioning a fully custom build. The second is web designers and Framer developers working with wellness clients who need a solid, rebrandable foundation to build from rather than starting from scratch.
