The Journey to Building Emton Gadgets Brand Identity
Emmanuel reached out to me, expressing his interest in starting a gadget business. However, he wasn’t sure where to begin and thought he might need a logo to get started. Seeking my advice, I suggested starting with a complete brand identity instead of just a logo. Since he wasn’t familiar with what brand identity entails, we hopped on a call where I explained the concept in detail. After our discussion, he was fully on board with the idea of creating a brand identity.
He mentioned that he would think about a brand name and get back to me. A few weeks later, he returned with the name Emton Gadgets and asked for my opinion. I told him the name was great—easy to pronounce, unique, and memorable. To ensure its availability, I conducted some research and confirmed that the name was not already in use, making it a solid choice for his brand.
With the goal of creating a strong brand identity for Emton Gadgets, we registered the business name with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and began the design process.

Emton Gadgets specializes in delivering cutting-edge phone gadgets and accessories to enhance your tech experience. From accessories to top-quality solutions for laptops and PlayStations, they provide the tools you need to stay connected, productive, and entertained. 
The goal is to create a modern, cohesive brand identity that establishes trust and recognition in the tech market.

The fun begins! I started exploring ways to merge the brand initial 'E' with a keyboard symbol, reflecting Emton Gadgets' dedication to providing user-friendly gadgets from leading manufacturers. The keyboard symbolizes simplicity and accessibility, highlighting the brand’s focus on delivering a seamless and intuitive experience for customers.

I decided to develop an additional concept to present to Emmanuel for his preference.  
This time, I explored merging the brand initials “E” and “G” with a power icon, symbolizing the idea of powering up or turning on devices.

I selected fonts that complement each logo icon, ensuring a cohesive design between the typography and the logo icon.
Next, I moved on to adding color to the design, carefully selecting a palette that aligns with Emton Gadgets' brand values of innovation, simplicity, and reliability. I also developed multiple color variations to ensure flexibility across various applications.  
To provide a comprehensive view, I presented the logo in different lockup variations, including horizontal, vertical, and icon-only formats. This approach ensures the logo remains adaptable and visually consistent across different platforms, such as social media, packaging, and marketing materials.
I sent Emmanuel both concepts, and he was thrilled with each one, unsure of which to choose. After much thought and deliberation, he finally made the decision to go with the second concept.  
Excited by his choice, I dove into designing the next set of visuals, building on the brand's identity.
