Failure also told this man what he was capable of. Typically, someone who’s attempting something for the first time either starts too high or too low, most of the time it's too high. But that failure tells that man what he is capable of and what his limits are in that field. This is greatly represented in the field of bodybuilding, usually referred to as “ego lifting” which means your ego says you can lift much higher than you actually can. So, as a result, you end up failing and learn from where to start next time so that mistake is not made again. And if you continuously push back after failing, then it builds your knowledge, capability and most importantly, motivation. You see, when you keep fighting the part of you which tells you to quit, then when you come back to that field you failed on, you have a reason to keep trying which is to prove that part of your brain, wrong. For a man, nothing is more fulfilling than winning when everyone doubted you so when you achieve success after failing and being criticized, you will achieve piece. But if you never failed and everyone believed in you, there's always a part of your brain which says that “what if you don't succeed” and it keeps you in suspended terror. This is because there are 2 possibilities when you don’t fail which are you succeed or you surprisingly, don't succeed. There are only 2 options, one that everyone expects and one which everyone gets mad at and has pity on you. But on the other hand, when you fail. The same 2 possibilities arise, but this time, it's that there is the one everyone expects, and one that no one expects and gets blown away by you.
To put it in simpler terms, let's say this. The outcome where everyone expects it is 0, the outcome where no one expects you to fail is –1, the outcome where no one expects you to succeed is +1
So, when you don't fail, the only possible outcomes are 0, and –1. But when you do fail, the outcomes are 0, and +1. You never get to achieve true victory when you don't fail. Theres no good outcome when you don't fail. When you don't lose, it's not about winning, it's about not... losing.
