Quick disclaimer here: All of the visuals in this project were redesigned in 2019 to better represent the current state of my skills. So in other words, I took the old designs and redesigned them as if the project would be new today. It was one of my first US based client projects and I really loved it.
For Pura, one of the most important use cases to cover was the initial device pairing. Thankfully, there was not much required from users, so users would simply start the pairing and the app would do the rest of the work.
After users successfully paired the device and added their scents in the device, they were presented with this control screen, which allows users to control the settings such as the scent intensity.
Marketplace was also the part of the app where Pura could curate an in-app opportunities to target users with new scents and deals.
The detail screen of each scent included useful information and tips on best uses. To make the buying decisions easier, we also included an indicator of the remaining scent capacity.
Working for Pura Scents was really fun. Everything went smoothly since I had pretty good overview of what is required right at the beginning of the project. It was also the first addition to my unintended collection of IOT projects.
