Goal
A social product needed real-time messaging and a responsive feed, and its existing backend had to change to support messaging.
What we did
Built one React Native codebase for iOS and Android with WebSocket/Socket.IO messaging, offline message queues and delivery receipts, cached feeds (React Query) and push notifications (Firebase, APNs).
Outcome
Messaging, content discovery and notifications delivered together on both platforms.
