Osintomático Conference

The Client: Osintomático Conference is an international-scale conference focused exclusively on OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and Social Engineering, set in the vibrant capital of Madrid. This event, which features top-tier speakers from around the globe, is a place where enthusiasts of social engineering, cybersecurity, and open-source intelligence come together to learn, laugh, network, and share knowledge.

The Goals: The founders of Osintomático needed an aftermovie for their event, which would also serve as a teaser to secure sponsorship for the subsequent edition. The elements were supposed to reinforce the event themes of privacy, dynamism, technology, and future vision. Besides that, many attendees would prefer to remain anonymous, so the focus was supposed to be on staff and speakers.

The Work: Long-form video editing, with heavy Motion Graphics usage.

The Process: Osintomático's founders already had a script, and a clear briefing for their needs, so after reviewing the footage, we assembled a first cut, on top of which we began working on the transitons, visual effects and motion graphics overlay. The style we tried to implement was one which was reminiscent of the techno-thriller genre of movies, with both motion graphics and visual effects chosen to match it. We also tried to showcase the crowd without focusing on specific faces. After a few rounds of revision, the clients were more than happy with the results.

The Results: 23 sponsors for the 2024 edition of the event, with 7 of them being max-level sponsors. Besides these, they also secured the support of 13 official institutions and 41 communities in the OSINT field.
