Project Overview

Johnny wanted to establish a professional online presence to support the early stages of a new business focused on helping people move from freelancing into building scalable companies. While the long-term vision included courses and deeper offerings, this phase of the project was focused on building the foundation: a content-driven Kajabi site designed to support lead capture, audience growth, and future expansion.
The primary goal was to design and launch a fully live Kajabi website that functioned as a content hub and funnel—capturing email subscribers, presenting Johnny’s perspective and positioning, and preparing the business for future Phase 2 initiatives.

The Challenge & My Team’s Role

The challenge was creating a polished, conversion-focused Kajabi site without moving into full course or product setup. The site needed to clearly communicate Johnny’s positioning, support a growing content ecosystem (newsletter, podcast and/or YouTube), and capture leads effectively—while remaining simple, flexible, and easy to expand later.
My team’s role was to design and configure the Kajabi site to support Johnny’s content funnel and lead capture strategy, while handling all technical setup, layout, and launch readiness for Phase 1.
Specifically, my team:
Designed and built the full Kajabi website structure
Created all primary pages needed for content, credibility, and lead capture
Configured Kajabi settings, navigation, CTAs, and analytics
Prepared the site for launch with QA, testing, and handoff

The Process

The project began with a kickoff to gather assets, access, and clarify the site structure. From there, we mapped out the information architecture and page flow to support discovery, trust-building, and opt-ins.
Over the build phase, my team:
Designed and built core pages including the homepage, Start Here (manifesto), About, Contact, legal pages, waitlist, and content hub pages
Created a Subscribe + Download delivery page to support lead magnet opt-ins
Configured an opt-in email to deliver the free download
Built a reusable newsletter template for Johnny’s daily email sequence
Set up Kajabi site settings, header and footer navigation, mobile optimization, and analytics/pixel placeholders
The final phase focused on content population, quality assurance, cross-device testing, and a final design pass before launch. A short training session was provided to ensure Johnny could confidently manage the site going forward.

The Build & Outcome

The final result was a fully built and live Kajabi website that served as the foundation for Johnny’s business and content strategy.
The site included:
Homepage
Clear positioning around moving from freelancing to building a real business
Strong calls to action supporting subscription and engagement
Start Here (Manifesto) Page
A clear articulation of Johnny’s philosophy and point of view
About Page
Johnny’s background and credibility
Content Hub Pages
Podcast and/or YouTube hub pages designed for ongoing content publishing
Lead Capture & Email Setup
Subscribe + download delivery page
Opt-in email for free resource delivery
Newsletter template for daily emails
Supporting Pages
Contact and legal pages
Waitlist page for future offerings
The outcome was a clean, professional Kajabi site that allowed Johnny to confidently launch his online presence, grow an email audience, and support content-driven growth—while leaving room for future Phase 2 expansion without needing to rebuild the foundation.
