Supersonik - Web development

The challenge

Firma’s studio reached out to me to implement the redesign they had created for Supersonik, one of the first Spanish startups to secure investment from a16z, coming out of stealth to launch its product to the market. They needed a website that was simple in terms of pages but with meticulous design and animations, and the integration of some large Lottie files.

The solution

As often happens, once implemented, the design didn’t fully click in places. Together with the Firma team, I proposed changes to some animations and references, along with a few design tweaks. I used GSAP to ensure smooth scroll-based animation for the features section, implemented deferred loading for the Lotties, and added a system to detect slow loading speeds and display fallback images if necessary.

Results & Impact

The outcome was a success: the site was very well received on social media and generated a significant traffic spike during the launch (so much that Webflow’s usage limit was exceeded in the first month 😅). Both the Firma team and the Supersonik team were happy with the development and the project’s execution speed.
