Within a few months, we managed to have a self-governing team of 15 engineers who were all engaged, with high eNPS, and able to dynamically align with the product objectives which changed fully within every 6 months.
The engineering team was open to jumping into each other code, at the same time prioritizing quality and keeping the shortcuts as minimal as possible.
That provided an engaged product engineering team, which was efficient and enabled to test out different product lines while keeping the existing services alive and quality high.
