Shuble is an innovative online social marketplace that addresses the common challenges faced by online social shoppers, such as cart abandonment due to third-party checkouts, forced account creation, long loading times, and security concerns. With Shuble, users can discover fashion products through content posted by creators and brands, and purchase items from different brands in a single transaction, streamlining the shopping experience.
My Role and Contributions:
As the sole developer for Shuble, I was responsible for the entire development lifecycle of the platform, from initial concept to deployment. My work included both frontend and backend development, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Frontend Development:
I designed and implemented the user interface using React Native, focusing on creating an intuitive and responsive design that adapts to various devices. The frontend features a Tinder-like feed for easier browsing and selective preferences, allowing users to explore brands, follow other users, discover looks, and add items to their cart effortlessly.
Backend Development:
On the backend, I utilized custom Django code with Stripe. The backend has a tons of functionalities like AI tagging detection using our AI models as well as the core needed functionalities for a marketplace to operate like checkout, returns, shipping and logistics etc.
Integration and Deployment:
I ensured seamless integration between the frontend and backend, focusing on delivering a smooth and responsive user experience. I also handled the deployment process, setting up necessary cloud infrastructure to host the application, and implementing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and ensure efficient updates.
AI Integration:
One of the standout features I developed was an AI concierge that provides a personalized shopping experience with tailored recommendations. This feature enhances user engagement by analyzing user behavior and preferences to suggest products that match their interests.
