The investors dream

Right from the start, I’d always known that it was a pretty simple stretch that led to the riches I’ve been dreaming of. Continue my education, get a job then boom, money start dey flow for my side. Well, that was until Teflon introduced me to the prospect of all greens. For me it was no question of morality. Sake of me ankasa my moral compass lost long tee. 

My desire to send Dangote packing made it easy work for Tef. A few tutorials and I was already cooking odds like Mr White in a meth lab. 

Chelsea was on a good run of form and Crystal Palace seemed like an easy W. Well, Obroni Mellisa had other plans in stall. 

75 minutes down the line and I had already lost my first investment. Never had risks felt so liberating and pain; never so motivating.

You can imagine the jubilation that went on inside the room . 3 years down the line and the dream still resonates in mind. 1 cedi and a dream. The pain and anxiety, the overs and unders have all ignited this dream. From moments when an under 2.5 ends in a drink up and a Messi to score, ends in a “corner taken quickly”; I’ve held on to this dream. Afterall Martin Luther sef even in his death, still has a dream. That is the beauty of the game. No matter how topsy- turvy it is, we will win some and the hope to win more keeps us going. Hope, hmmm, hope in reality is the worst form of all torments because it prolongs the tortures of men but hey, the hope to be richer than Dangote > tortures of losing.
