Passion does not equal working 24/7.

We have this idea in our head that if we are working on things we love - maybe a project or your job - then it’s justified to work long hours for it. Because apparently, if you’re not thinking about it all the time, you’re just not passionate enough.

📍A recent article in The Wall Street Journal introduced the concept of giving 85%. The effort of always giving your 100% doesn’t last very long. Being “productive” all the time prevents us from relaxing and rejuvenating, leading to bigger problems.

Ultimately, this narrative leads to peaks of motivation followed by quick burnout & exhaustion. You’re allowed to take a break, no matter what. You can love doing something without it consuming your life.

So, make sure you find little pockets of peace in your daily life, & make it a priority.✨
