Draper Dragon approached me to enhance the presentation and functionality of their existing website. The goal was twofold: first, to improve the overall visual design and user experience in order to make the site more appealing and professional for potential investors; and second, to develop a clean and organized way to showcase their current investment portfolio. The updated site needed to reflect the credibility and forward-thinking nature of the Draper Dragon brand while delivering clear, accessible information to its audience.
Project Goal ā
The goal of this project was to help refine their existing website to make it more presentable to potential investors and to clearly showcase their current investment portfolio.
Responsibilities š
Framer Design: Add continuity to the site and improve the overall visual design
Framer Development: Connect to current CMS of Portfolio Companies and make it filterable.
Employee Card Modal
Investor Card Modal
To create a more polished presentation of their investors, we implemented a card-based layout that triggers a modal with a detailed write-up for each investor. To add visual interest and break up the black-and-white color scheme, we introduced a red glow hover effect for each card.
Portfolio Card Interaction
Portfolio Card Flip
To organize their investment portfolio in a clean and scalable way, we connected to a CMS containing key information for each company. In the default state, each card displays the companyās logo, name, and a brief write-up. When clicked, the card flips to reveal the companyās industry and a link to their website.
Portfolio Filter
Portfolio Filter
Given the number of investments across various industries, we implemented a filtering system through SuperFields to help users navigate the portfolio more efficiently and find relevant companies faster.
