Chicxs Indumentaria is an independent Buenos Aires clothing brand with a strong visual identity rooted in local culture and illustration. In 2026, they opened a public design call for original positional print with a coordinated seamless pattern to be produced as garments.

The challenge wasn't just designing something visually strong, it was designing something that could survive production. A positional print lives or dies in the gap between the screen and the fabric: scale, line weight, color separation, file structure. Getting that gap wrong means a reprint, a delay, or a design that loses everything it was.

I built the illustration in Procreate with production in mind from the first stroke. Line weight calibrated for sublimation. Color palette chosen for saturation retention on dark fabric. Final composition was designed in Photoshop for the specific placement on the garment, accounting for seams, body movement, and the way the eye travels across a worn piece. 

The design was selected as the winning entry. It went from file to finished garment exactly as conceived

This project is proof of what I work toward every time: the moment a client holds the piece and it looks exactly like what they imagined.
