When designing this interactive data visualization, my focus was on UX first, UI second, ensuring a smooth experience for users analyzing Binance's revert rates vs. the market average. let’s break down the thought process behind it.

A great user experience (UX) means users can understand and interact with the data effortlessly. This design prioritizes:

Clarity – Making complex financial data easy to digest.

Interaction – Ensuring users can explore the data smoothly.

A clean user interface (UI) plays a big role in guiding users visually.

The layout is uncluttered, keeping the focus on the chart.

A bold title gives instant context.

Key statistics (Binance vs. Market Average) are placed at the top for a quick glance.

To make the data stand out:

Purple (Binance) & Cyan (Market Avg.) clearly distinguish the two datasets.

The tooltip uses contrast to highlight precise numbers.

The line chart naturally directs the eye across trends over time.

I applied key UX psychology principles to ensure the best experience:

✔ Hick’s Law – Simplified decision-making by surfacing key insights at a glance.

✔ Gestalt Principles – Grouping related elements together for intuitive reading.

✔ Fitts’s Law – The tooltip appears near the cursor for easy access.

✔ Von Restorff Effect – The tooltip pop-up makes key data points stand out.

The hover tooltip allows users to see the exact quarterly average without cluttering the main chart. This makes comparing Binance vs. Market Avg. super easy.

Instead of overwhelming users with too much data at once, the slider at the bottom lets them navigate previous quarters smoothly, keeping the UI clean and interactive.
