Children Book Illustration

This project involved creating a series of vibrant illustrations for a children's book. The book takes a playful approach to mythology, featuring creatures with characteristics from different folklore traditions.

Design visually engaging illustrations that capture the imagination of young readers (aged 5-8).

Clearly depict the unique features of each mythical mashup creature.

Maintain a consistent and colorful visual style throughout the book.

I created 10 full-page illustrations and several spot illustrations to complement the story's narrative.

The illustrations were done digitally in a bright and whimsical style, with inspiration drawn from classic children's book illustrations and modern animation.

Each creature design incorporated elements from two or more mythologies, such as a Griffon with lion and eagle features or a mischievous Kappa with a turtle shell and a mischievous grin.

The illustrations were well-received by the author, bringing the fantastical world of the book to life for young readers. The project helped strengthen my skills in character design, digital illustration, and creating a cohesive visual narrative for children's books.
