A project that involved a surf industry brand analysis that targets surfers who live far from the coast. The goal was to satisfy this type of user (the number of which is rising every day).
I worked on the project as a product designer with a big focus on visual and brand design. I began researching on a number of surf forecast prediction websites which varied in many ways but what all of them had in common was that the users needed to decide on the spot they want to have the data from. There was a need to approach the data in a different way, a way that the users needed and that Banyu was attempting to satisfy: a restriction of time.
As a first step, the idea is to ask the user what days does he have for surfing and let the system bring a ranked number of suitable spots depending on the dates he has.
