Perplexity Web Research Automation

Built a Perplexity Web Research Automation in n8n designed to automate online research and transform user questions into structured, useful information using AI-powered web search.

The workflow receives a research request and automatically sends it to Perplexity through an API integration. Instead of manually searching multiple websites, collecting information, and organizing findings, the system uses AI-powered web research to retrieve relevant information and return a consolidated response within an automated pipeline.

The generated research output is then processed inside n8n, allowing the information to be cleaned, structured, stored, or passed to additional workflow stages depending on the required use case. This makes the automation useful as a standalone research assistant or as a research component inside larger AI agents and business automation systems.

The workflow can be adapted for market research, competitor analysis, topic discovery, content research, business intelligence, lead research, product research, and other information-intensive tasks. Its modular architecture also allows additional AI models, databases, APIs, notifications, and output destinations to be connected.
