A full email marketing build for a cinnamon roll and fresh bread bakery — warm, inviting, and designed to turn curious visitors into loyal subscribers from the very first scroll.

The brief

Cinnamon is a bakery built around one thing done beautifully — cinnamon rolls and fresh breads made from scratch. The brief was to create an email system that felt as good as walking into the shop: warm, welcoming, and worth returning to every week.
The deliverables covered the full subscriber journey — from the first popup a visitor sees, to the weekly newsletter that lands in their inbox on a Monday morning.

What was made

Secret sale popup
A dark, rich popup inviting visitors to join the list for a secret passcode — with a live countdown timer to create urgency.
Webinar popup
"Only a few spots left" — a second popup built for a small business webinar, using scarcity and a countdown to drive sign-ups.
Weekly newsletter
A full-length email with three content sections — exclusive offers, tips and recipes, and sneak peeks at new flavours.

The approach

"A bakery email should make you hungry before you read a single word."

The popup was designed around exclusivity — a secret sale, a passcode, a countdown. It doesn't shout. It whispers, and people lean in. The deep chocolate brown palette and real food photography do the emotional work before the copy even starts.
The newsletter, titled "Start your week well," opens with a lifestyle image — coffee, a half-eaten cinnamon roll, a magazine — the kind of Sunday morning everyone wants. Three content sections were named with personality: Gut Check for offers, Nutrient Notes for recipes, and Smooth Operator for new flavours. The whole email feels like a letter from someone who genuinely loves what they bake.

A note on the work

Cinnamon is the kind of brand that makes email marketing easy to love. The product is beautiful, the story is simple, and the customer already wants to hear from them. The job was to make sure the emails felt worthy of that trust — something people actually look forward to opening on a Monday.
