Camino is a bilingual and multicultural nonprofit organization located in Charlotte, NC. For more than 20 years, Camino has served Latino families in the area. The organization's services include a health center, an upward mobility program, a thrift store, a church, a research institute, and a university. All of Camino’s services are offered in both English and Spanish, ensuring that every person receives the services they need in a language they understand and in a setting they trust.

Client Request
Objective: To build a new, fast and accessible website from scratch, enhancing their online presence and providing valuable resources to the community.
Requirements:
Create a new website based on a Figma design
Implement a new WordPress theme from scratch
Include sections for Blog, Volunteer Events, and Donations

My Role and Solution
Role: WordPress Developer
Responsibilities:
Developing of the new website from scratch
Implementing the new WordPress theme as per the client’s design specifications
Developing and integrating sections for Blog, Volunteer Events, and Donations
Ensuring the website is responsive and accessible on all devices
Coordinating with the client to ensure their requirements and feedback are addressed promptly
Designed a modern and responsive, mobile first Wordpress theme from scratch
Created easy to use custom Gutenberg blocks matching the Figma design
Integrated the donation GiveWP Donation Plugin
Implemented a secure donation feature to facilitate online contributions
Ensured bilingual support (English and Spanish) to cater to the multicultural audience

Successfully launched the new website within the 6-8 week timeframe
