During the pandemic, I worked closely with Broken Nose Theatre here in Chicago. We partnered together on several "Zoom Plays" and Audio Plays, including the adapted Audio-only version of KINGDOM by Michael Allen Harris:
Perhaps our most elaborate project during that time was the remote play festival, Bechdel Fest 8: Realign.
Bechdel Fest is an annual festival of new, short plays that pass the Bechdel Test. Broken Nose had just celebrated its seventh year of Bechdel Fest and was not about to let a pandemic stop them!
This was where I came in. I handled all video editing and advised production during the process from start to finish. Below is our beloved blooper reel where you can see some snippets of the awesome folks who lent their time to this innovative iteration of an important project.
In addition to these fun, rewarding projects, I also helmed a promotional series featuring all the company members!
The challenge: create a series of interviews (recorded via Zoom) that the company could leverage to engage with the theatre community during a time when we were all trapped inside. The final product: 34 short, fun videos that the company posted to their socials! Check out a few examples below.
