Eidos is a machine learning development company that focuses primarily on computer vision models. They basically teach computers to see and understand the world... not a big deal.
Their name comes from Plato’s theory of forms that established that for every physical object an idea of it exists in the non-physical world which holds all its invariable properties, its essence.
The name is quite on point when we consider this same “essence” is what a computer needs to learn in order to identify and understand any object or living thing in the real world.
We worked together with them to shape their brand. The challenge resided in finding the right representation of the computer mind and its way of seeing.
