Objective

Expanding global hiring by enabling partners to embed hiring flows directly into their own products.

Problem Space

For Oyster Oyster’s growth was limited by its lack of integration with the systems where hiring decisions are made. Customers had to leave their existing tools to complete hiring flows, creating friction and reducing conversion.
Integration complexity also slowed expansion:
Authentication and authorisation were inconsistent
API provisioning required manual setup
Onboarding partners was time-intensive
For Partners HRIS, ATS, and EOR platforms could not offer global hiring natively.
This meant:
Users had to leave the platform to complete hiring
fragmented user journeys
lower completion rates
added compliance and localisation complexity

Solution Oyster Embedded

Oyster Embedded enabled partners to integrate global hiring directly into their own platforms through API-driven flows and embedded components.
The focus was not just API access, but how the end-to-end hiring flow worked inside partner products.
Oyster Embedded is a solution that integrates Oyster’s global hiring capabilities into third-party HRIS, ATS, PEO, and EOR platforms. By embedding Oyster’s hiring services directly into partner SaaS applications, companies can seamlessly hire, pay, and manage remote employees worldwide without leaving their existing systems. Oyster Embedded provides API-powered and no-code solutions that enable businesses to expand their global hiring capabilities while maintaining brand identity and user experience.

What I worked on

1. Embedded user flows
Designed how hiring journeys were initiated and completed within partner platforms
Ensured flows felt native rather than redirect-heavy
Reduced friction between partner UI and Oyster services

Defined API patterns for partner integrations
Worked on authentication and authorisation flows (SSO, token-based access)
Structured endpoints around real partner use cases rather than internal systems
3. Partner onboarding & scalability
Reduced manual setup through clearer provisioning flows
Introduced more standardised integration patterns
Supported both API-first and lower-code integration approaches
4. Embedded CTA & UX consistency
Designed “Hire with Oyster” entry points within partner products
Enabled white-labelling to maintain partner branding
