Managed the selection and curation of images for the White House Flickr platform as part of my contract position as Digital Editor & Photographer in the White House Photo Office during the Biden Administration, ensuring all photos met departmental standards. Coordinated the approval process across the organization and tracked released images for the National Archives. Worked closely with the Deputy Director of Photography & Archivist to maintain image quality and accuracy.
Process:
Image Selection: Reviewed and selected images taken by White House Photo Office staff, documenting the President, Vice President, First Lady, and Second Gentleman during various events.
Quality Assurance: Ensured all selected images adhered to high-quality standards and departmental guidelines.
Tracking and Documentation: Monitored the release of images, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking for the National Archives.
Collaboration: Worked closely with the Deputy Director of Photography & Archivist to maintain consistency and accuracy in the visual documentation and captioning.
This role demanded meticulous attention to detail and seamless coordination with colleagues to uphold the highest standards of visual storytelling and documentation of the administration’s public and private schedules.
