For thousands of years, the color red has been painted on to lips and for thousands of years, we have associated the color with power.
There's a hundred different ways to wear red lipstick, with brown lipliner, a glossy pink as a finishing touch and even with black lip liner. But the best way to wear red lipstick? As a power move. Red on the lips equals confidence, allure, all the adjectives of great aura, if you will. It can be classy, it can be sexy but mostly it can make or break your entire look.
I like to say, you either wear red lipstick or it wears you. And by this I mean, if you don’t have confidence as the color covers your lips, it’ll show in your eyes, and even in your walk. Not everyone can pull off red lipstick, and frankly not everyone should- because not everyone is confident. But for the gals and pals, that are, here our my favorite red shades,
MVP by Fenty Beauty - perfect for olive undertones and darker complexions. I love pairing this with black winged liner and my hair in a high ponytail to make the lips centerpiece.
Cherry by MangoPeopleOfficial a neutral shade of red, that can be dabbed on or fully swiped on. I like to wear this one with my natural wavy hair and curled lashes, for that effortless french girl look.

Diva by M-A-C, a berry red shade that is somehow perfect for all seasons, but best in the fall. Diva is perfect with a smokey eye, or with a dramatic lash and Space Cowboy by Urban Decay on the lids for a star girl look.
So the next time you need to feel fierce, pick up that red lipstick and embrace your inner strength and confidence.
