Designed a responsive web platform for JobSyte built to help job seekers manage applications, track progress, and leverage AI tools to stand out in a competitive market. The layout features an intuitive dashboard, smart tracking flows, and clean visual hierarchy across devices. From onboarding to optimization, every screen was crafted to reduce friction and boost confidence.

Jobsyte was born out of a simple but urgent need:

“Job seekers are overwhelmed. We want to give them clarity, control, and confidence.”

The client envisioned a platform that would help users manage job applications, track progress, and use AI tools to stand out — all in one place. But they needed a design that felt intuitive, motivating, and scalable.

My task was to design a full web app experience that combined dashboard clarity, AI-powered features, and responsive design — while keeping the emotional needs of job seekers front and center.

We kicked off with user interviews and competitor audits. I spoke with recent graduates, mid-career professionals, and freelancers to understand their pain points:

“I lose track of where I’ve applied.”

“I don’t know how to improve my resume.”

“I wish I had a system that felt like a coach.”

From this, I defined four design pillars: Clarity, Progress, Empowerment, and Ease.

I also mapped out the user journey from onboarding to job offer, identifying key touchpoints where design could reduce friction and boost motivation.

The dashboard is the central hub where users (talents and employers) can instantly access core features — from job searches and AI tools to recent activity and quick actions.

A neatly organized list of all jobs the talent has applied for, with filters for status (Under Review, Interview, Offer, Rejected).

A detailed view showing the specific job’s progress, application date, recruiter feedback, and timeline for each hiring stage.

A list-style view displaying upcoming interviews as cards, each showing the company name, role, date, and time for quick access.

A built-in chat system enabling direct communication between talents and recruiters, with options for attachments and quick replies.

A dedicated section offering advanced AI-powered features bundled under a single Pro subscription, helping talents streamline their job search process.

AI Resume Optimizer – Reviews and enhances CVs for better ATS compatibility.

Smart Job Matches – Uses AI to recommend jobs that align with the talent’s skills and career goals.

Cover Letter Assistant – Generates tailored cover letters based on job descriptions and user profiles.

I designed Jobsyte to be fully responsive across devices. Key considerations included:

Mobile-first layouts for dashboard and tracker

Sticky navigation and collapsible menus

Touch-friendly buttons and cards

Scalable typography and iconography

Optimized load times for low-bandwidth users

Each breakpoint was tested for usability, clarity, and performance — from desktop to tablet to mobile.

Color Palette: Soft blues and neutrals for calm and focus

Typography: Clean sans-serif fonts for readability

Iconography: Custom icons for status, actions, and AI tools

Motion: Subtle transitions to guide attention and reduce anxiety

Illustrations: Friendly visuals to reinforce encouragement
