Shelfsy: AI footage, illustrative UI and kinetic type

Shelfsy is a fictional stock-counting app for small shops. This independent portfolio film explores how generated footage, illustrative UI and kinetic type can explain a product in 37 seconds. The screens were created in Remotion specifically for the film. They are not a validated app design or a Figma prototype.
My role I set the concept and creative direction, reviewed the type and motion choices, and approved the final edit. AI footage generation, Remotion composition and mastering were produced with Claude Code under my direction.
The scan beam does two jobs A yellow beam scans the carton in the story and carries the transition between shop footage and UI. It appears four times, crossing the middle of the screen on each cut. Repeating that action gives the film a consistent way to move between the shop and the illustrative interface.
Keeping the product consistent The footage uses a warm, independent-shop setting and one recurring product: a plain white oat-milk carton with a yellow top. A generated delivery shot returned plastic bottles instead of cartons, including after another attempt. I approved cutting that shot to preserve continuity.
Typography and timing Anton headlines pair with Manrope labels. The headline words sharpen as the narrator speaks, while the phone and UI layers keep moving. The final review used 24 stills and motion strips around the cuts. It caught a late word reveal, a stock counter moving too early, and overlapping end-card text; those timings were corrected before approval.
Final delivery The approved film is 37.6 seconds at 1920 × 1080 and 30 fps. Footage was generated with Veo 3.1 Fast, composition and animation were built in Remotion, and voice and music came from ElevenLabs. The end card identifies Shelfsy as a fictional app and portfolio demo.
