About Project
Ledra is a concept finance dashboard that helps small business owners understand their cash position at a glance and act before problems happen. It brings bank accounts, invoices, bills and spending.
Problem
Most finance tools only show what already happened: a balance, a list of transactions, a monthly report. Owners still have to work out for themselves whether they can cover payroll next week. The result is surprise shortfalls, late bills and overdue invoices nobody chased. The information exists, but it doesn’t help anyone decide what to do.
Objectives
Answer “how long can we last?” before “how much do we have?”
Spot cash crunches weeks in advance, not on the day
Turn every alert into a clear action
Make the dashboard quick to read in under 10 seconds
Keep it calm and friendly, not like a spreadsheet
Design Process
Problem framing: I mapped the questions an owner asks each morning: Am I okay? What’s coming? What needs me today?
Information hierarchy: I ordered the layout by those questions: health score and stats first, then the forecast, then alerts, then the detail.
Visual direction: a soft green, pink and orange palette makes money feel approachable, with black reserved for primary actions.
Data design: paired in/out bars, with hatched bars for the forecast, so past and future read differently at a glance.
Iteration: I tightened the copy so every alert fits on one line, and put the reason next to the number (“Payroll + VAT · €61k out”).
Solution
Cash health score + runway: one score and a runway in months replace guesswork with a clear status.
Forecast in the chart: the next 4 weeks are projected, and the crunch week is flagged with what’s causing it.
Needs attention list: each alert has its own button: Plan transfer, Remind all, Review, See tools.
Stat cards built around decisions: cash balance, net burn and money still to collect, with overdue amounts in red.
Upcoming bills: due dates, amounts and approval status, with a 14-day total.
Spend vs budget: category split with over/under labels, so overspending is spotted early.
Connected accounts: every account in one place, with a live sync status.
