WANDERING THE ART PATH

As an artist, I am always practicing new ideas for sketches, line art, and the type of render for the final piece. The last few years have seen the most significant change in terms of characters, but pet portraits have only improved in fur techniques.
Below are some examples of changes in my art path over the last several years.
Sketches of popular horror characters.

Started off more 2d with flat colours.

Started to blend realism into 3d colours.

More realistic and painted styles too.

Dogs and fur seem much better than 2d versions.

Bit of a mixture right now, flats, comic, realism.

I worked a little more on playing with render styles for people over the last few years, trying to work more with including backgrounds and softening my line art. I have played with things a little more over the last couple of years, and new programs too.
I generally use a mixture of software: Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Corel Painter, Sketchbook Pro and Clip Studio. I also bounce between a tablet and laptop, and find it can be noticeably different using a drawing pen on a tablet.
